Job Description
•Develop construction program
•Update / Revise from time to time and in accordance with projects requirement to suit site progress condition.
•Observe Search and record field data and use it to update cost analysis by tendering department and Quantity Surveyor.
•Allocate resources in line with the progress requirements and as per instruction of Operations Manager.
•Prepare monthly cost reports to management including proof of each project status as actual VS programmed.
•Supervise cost and scheduling activities at project locations; supports contract administration activities
•To define project / project area needs for schedule development, maintenance and monitoring in accordance with company procedures and client contract requirements.
•To supervise the competent performance of schedule development, maintenance, monitoring and analyse activities and timely issuance of reports
•To monitor project activities against contract scope of work, prepares additional work cost estimates.
•Responsible for specifying the timing of the contract.
•Develop the most appropriate method and sequence of construction operations for a particular project, in conjunction with the Project manager.
•Establish and manage effectively a planning and progress control system in order to support the Project Manager’s decision-making process and allow him to complete the project according to the internal baselines and in compliance with the contractual dates and requirements.
•Ensure any deviation from plan is promptly spotted and analyzed, final time impact is estimated and the effect of corrective actions taken is monitored.
•Selecting the appropriate techniques and sequence of events for a particular project;
•Use specialist planning computer software; especially Primavera P3 & P6
•Monitor progress throughout the construction process and compare this with the projected schedule of works
•Laise with the site agent and surveyor throughout the process, making adjustments to project as necessary
•Identify critical path and project milestones
•Integrate schedules to create a master program
•Create attractive and fully customization graphs such as : Histograms and S- Curves
•Quickly plan for the upcoming day, week, month to ensure everyone knows what they are responsible for
•Control budgets, changes and estimates at completion to ensure a successful project delivery
•Allocate resources accurately
•Communicate status to Project Managers, Operations Manager and General Manager as necessary.
•Coordinate labour, material, equipment and contractors to ensure on schedule, on budget completion.
•Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing and solving problems.
•Capability to accept responsibilities and accomplish project objectives in a timely manner.
