Café Supervisor
Our client in Abu Dhabi is looking for a supervisor in their Cafe who would handle daily operations, train the staff members, monitor the service quality and costs and assist to the operations manager in the everyday tasks, inventories and other administration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Reports directly to the Operations Manager
• Monitor beverage wastage, inventory and costs.
• Assist the Restaurant Manager in Interviewing, selecting, training, supervising, counseling and disciplining outlet staff.
• Supervising the floor during meal periods to ensure that all Steroid Cafe standards and steps of service are met through all guests interactions.
• Ensuring that checklists, requisitions and proper opening and closing functions are being completed each shift.
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear direction to the staff.
• Observe performance and encourage improvement where necessary.
• Communicate with guests and employees using a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate actions and provide accurate information.
• Coordinate with the suppliers to get all the materials in a timely manner
• Report all incidents to the Operations Manager
• In case of any void or service recovery write proper explanation and share it also with the restaurant manager
• Ensuring that all steps of services as outlines in training materials are being followed on a daily basis.
• Move throughout the facility and kitchen areas to visually monitor and take action to ensure food quality and service standards are met. Give guidance toward improvement and make necessary adjustments for consistency.
• Ensure that all standards cash handling procedures are met.
• Maintain cleanliness of the outlet on a daily basis.
• Solicit feedback from guests concerning the service and food & beverage
• Work closely with the Operations Manager, in monthly beverage inventory and quarterly china/glass/silver/linen inventory.
• In the absence of the Operations Manager, in charge for the whole restaurant and report directly to the owner in case of any concern or emergency.

Required Education:
• Bachelor / Diploma holder with excellent communication skill
Required experience:
• Cafe/Restaurant Supervisor: 1 year
Required Languages:
• English / Arabic
Salary Package:
4500aed to maximum of 6000aed, depending on the experience.
