Quantity Surveyor Engineer

A leading EPC contractor, constructing power plant is looking for a dynamic and experienced Quantity surveyor to work on a large scale combined cycle power plant in Sharjah – UAE
The project is currently hiring someone to start ASAP with at least 5+ years experience in quantity surveying. The successful candidate will also have worked in power sector for the mainstay of his career.

The successful applicant should be confident in fulfilling the following responsibilities;
– Ascertain the scope of projects by studying relevant drawings, specifications and standards.
– Verify the accuracy of the project engineering drawings and report shortfalls to Design engineer
– Conduct quantity take-off and specifications from all drawings
– Send enquiries to material suppliers
– Receive quotations from suppliers and evaluate by comparisons to arrive at right price
– Make individual price summary based on quotations received from vendors
– Prepare offer for electrical system components and appliances of project
– Drafting red-mark up drawings from engineering drawings and converting them to as-built drawing in Micro-station.
